Forget those "crystal photos" that are just a flat, 2D engraving suspended in glass. This is something entirely different. We don't just etch a picture; we digitally sculpt your image into a true, three-dimensional model that has depth, contour, and form from every single angle.
This is a collaborative art process that turns your photograph into a tangible sculpture:
Your sculpture arrives ready to display. It includes a rotating LED light base that illuminates the 3D model and showcases it from every angle, turning it into a dynamic light sculpture for your home.
This glass block measures approximately 2x2x3" in dimensions, and is made of high quality, optical K9 glass. We don't know why the glass typing sounds like a dog, but it's apparently the most optically clear glass you can buy. It's actually so clear that we have a palette of it around here somewhere, but we have no idea where.
We take your provided images and use them to sculpt a full 3D model. This process can take several days to complete. Image quality is paramount in this process, as we cannot take a low quality image and convert it into a high quality 3D model. The image is of your choice -- we can do boudoir photos or any other type you'd like.
The final 3D image is then engraved into the center of the glass cube, which is packed and sent out with a LED light up base.
You've probably seem similar looking cubes for sale at a fraction of the price. Most of these, you'll note, do not show the crystal from all angles! These are engraving a flat, 2D picture into a cube. These look great, and we make them on thin glass panels, too (coming soon to the webpage!), but they're an utter waste in a dimensional block. They only look good from the front, and maybe the back.
Our process creates a real, three dimensional figure. This is the difference between a fully functional hologram and your TV screen.
